Recipe: Butter Chicken
4 Persons
Ingredients:
5 tomatoes
4 garlic cloves
1 large onion
2 tablespoon garam masala
2 tablespoon curry masala
2 tablespoons curry madras
2 tablespoon cumin powder
2 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoon ginger powder
2 tablespoons turmeric
1 piece of ginger as big as your thumb
200ml coconut milk
500 g chicken breast
4 tablespoons TESMI, seasoned ghee
Materials:
- cutting board
- Wok or frying pan
- Blender
- Sieve
Preparation method:
1. Cut the chicken into finger-sized pieces.
2. Marinate the chicken in 1 tablespoon of each of the above spices.
3. Fry the chicken in 2 tablespoons of TESMI seasoned ghee until it turns brown.
4. Set the chicken aside for a moment
5. In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of TESMI seasoned ghee
6. Chop the onion to a size of your choice. Add it to the pan and fry until golden brown.
7. Add 4 pressed garlic cloves and stir well.
8. Add 1 tablespoon of all the herbs and mix well for 1 minute.
9. Peel and chop the ginger and add it to the pan.
10. Chop the tomatoes and add them. Fry until the tomatoes have softened.
11. Add the coconut milk and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
12. Take everything out of the pan and blend it in a blender. Sieve the mixture before putting it back in the pan.
13. Let it stand for 2 minutes and then add the cooked chicken. Then let it stand together again for 10 minutes.
14. Add salt to taste
15. Garnish with mint or coriander and serve with rice, naan, paratha or roti!
